Psyche Revived by Cupid’s Kiss is a sculpture by Italian artist Antonio Canova first commissioned in 1787 by Colonel John Campbell. It is regarded as a masterpiece of Neoclassical sculpture, but shows the mythological lovers at a moment of great emotion, characteristic of the emerging movement of Romanticism. It represents the god Cupid in the height of love and tenderness, immediately after awakening the lifeless Psyche with a kiss. It’s so beautiful ! I had a good deal of trouble tracking it with the link provided , but that was no sweat off my back ! My only issue was upon
receiving my statue , there was a wing broken off ! I had already waited a while for the item itself , so I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of getting it worked out with the seller . I just glued the wing back on and am still so in love with it !
